WGEC 5th and 6th grade classes recently visited Junior Achievement's BizTown facility. The trip was the culminating activity of a program designed to integrate Civics, Economics and Financial Literacy into a real world experience. Students worked in groups to run simulated businesses from the area. Other students experienced working in local government as the mayor, law enforcement officer, and others. When asked about the trip, students excitedly responded that the trip was "Amazing!", "the BEST!", and "SO much fun!". It is safe to say that this year's trip was a success and we hope to return next year!
