The Early Intervention Program provides developmental and educational services to Greene County children younger than three years old who have developmental delays.
Services are offered at NO COST to all clients, regardless of the family’s income. Children qualify based on the results of a full developmental assessment. Following the development of an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP), sessions are provided at the convenience of the family in the child’s home or day care setting. Services may include; Case Management, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Specially Designed Instruction.

1. WHO CAN MAKE A REFERRAL?
Anyone can make a referral. Referrals are welcome from parents, family, other service agencies, hospitals and physicians. Call 724-852-5276 for more information.
2. ARE THERE INCOME GUIDELINES TO QUALIFY?
There are NO income guidelines. Any qualifying child can receive the services at no cost to the family regardless of income.
3. WHAT AREAS ARE ASSESSED AT THE EVALUATION?
Health summary, vision, hearing, communication (receptive and expressive), fine motor, gross motor, cognitive, social/emotional, adaptive.
4. HOW DOES A CHILD QUALIFY FOR EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES?
Children may qualify if there is a 25 percent delay in any area; they may also qualify by diagnosis or by clinical opinion.
5. WHAT TYPES OF SERVICES CAN A CHILD RECEIVE?
Special instruction, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, vision services, nutrition services, hearing, social work and service coordination.
