Friday, March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day.
World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is a global awareness day which has been officially observed since 2012.
Down Syndrome (Trisomy 21) is a triplication of the 21st chromosome.
Since the chromosomes look likes socks, you can “rock your socks” by wearing mismatched, colorful, zany socks on 3/21 to support and create awareness.
Help raise awareness of what Down syndrome is, what it means to have Down syndrome, and how people with Down Syndrome play a vital role in our lives and communities.
Be sure to take pictures and videos and post them on Social Media using the hashtags #LotsOfSocks, #WorldDownSyndromeDay.
