The American Legion Post 330, the VFW and the VFW Honor Degree Cooties donated the money to the WG SGA to help with the costs to participate in the Wreaths Across America Program. Wreaths Across America is a program designed to secure volunteers to help with the tedious, yet rewarding task of placing a live wreath on each grave site within a particular military cemetery. West Greene will participate at our nation's premier military cemetery; Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. On December 16th, the students will contribute to placing a holiday wreath on over 400,000 grave sites, across 624 acres, in an effort to honor the many military men and women who have offered their lives for our freedoms. The WG SGA will start their journey on Friday, December 15th, touring various museums and memorials. They will return home Saturday evening, after the completion of the wreath event and some additional site seeing.
