Eighth grade students Sophia Plock and Emily Wise attended the PMEA Jr. High District Choir Festival at Central Catholic High School this past weekend. The two day festival was hosted by Dr. Michael Mackey and was under the direction of Ms. Stacey Brett Conner, director of choral activities at Chatham University.
Thirty nine school districts were represented by one hundred and ten students. During the festival students rehearsed a diverse collection of musical selections including pieces in English, French, West African, and Latin. The festival culminated in a concert given to the public on Saturday afternoon. This is the second year in a row that these two students have represented West Greene.
