
The fourth paper packet for elementary students will be available for students NOT completing on-line assignments beginning Thursday, May 7th, 2020 from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. You may drop off completed work at that time.

Elementary Virtual Book Fair: The WGEC Library is having an Online Scholastic Book Fair in place of the face-to-face Book Fair that was supposed to happen in March. The online Book Fair will last from May 4th to May 17th. You must access the book fair through this book fair link https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/westgreeneelementarycenter2 or go to scholastic.com/fair and search for our school. Book-only orders over $25 ship to your home for free. Orders under $25, or that contain items other than books, will have shipping charges added. These orders must ship home, not to the school. Packet work will be available at the Junior-Senior High School starting Monday April 13, 2020 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. If you call in to the Office we will have a packet pre-assembled for your student. You may drop off completed work at that time.

Here is the updated calendar for the West Greene Feeding Program. We will be moving to a new format starting next week by providing 4 days worth of meals to each child. This is being done as a precaution to limit any possible exposure to COVID-19.

Important update for students and parents! There is no need to come to the school and get textbooks and materials from lockers. The teachers have create online work that DOES NOT require their textbooks. Students that do not have internet access can pick up packets on Monday.

I encourage all parents to maintain communication with their child's teacher(s) during the closure. E-mail addresses are available by clicking the "Menu" button in the upper right of the District home page and then selecting the yellow "Directory" button.

The West Greene School District will be hosting an online board meeting tonight at 7 PM. The link for the meeting will be shared on our Facebook page and web site at approx. 6:45 PM. The review meeting usually held at 6 PM before the board meeting has been canceled.
Due to the board meeting, there will be no WG Bedtime Story this evening. We will return tomorrow evening.

Student paper work packets for students in grades 7-12 will be available beginning Monday, March 30th at 12:00 PM in the Jr-Sr HS office. Students choosing to complete work on-line do not need a paper packet. Chromebooks will still be available in the Elementary Center.

Chrome Books are now available for sign-out in the elementary office for any WG student in need of a device in grades K-12. We will only be allowing one family at a time into the office to sign them out. Please wait outside of the elementary entrance and the secretary will buzz you in ASAP. You will be required to show ID prior to signing out a device if you are not recognized by the office staff, so please bring a valid ID with you.

The Sarris and Cookie Dough orders will be available for pick up in the gravel lot across from the high school on thursday, March 26th from 4:00-6:00 PM. Parents will not need to exit their cars to receive their products. Any order that is not picked up on the 26th will need to be be picked up at Sarris Candies in Canonsburg at a later date. The order pick up will take place rain or shine. Please contact a WGEPO officer if you have any questions. Do not call the school.

Richhill Twp. VFD will be added as a food distribution site beginning Monday the 23rd. Please feel free to take advantage of our free meal program at any of our sites from 11:00-1:00 each day that school is not in session. SAT make-up session on March 28th and the SAT on May 2nd have been canceled.

Consider taking advantage of the free meal distribution starting today from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Morris Township Community Center, New Freeport and Graysville VFD's and the WGHS loading dock. Meals are available for all kids ages 0-18 and will continue daily until school resumes.

The WGSD will be hosting a temporary feeding program while our district is closed due to COVID-19. We want to do our best to be prepared to manage each of the 4 sites that will provide meals.
Each child, from ages 0-18 can receive a free meal. The child must be present for meal claiming purposes. There will be no eat-in options, this will be a grab-and-go program.
This program will begin on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 from 11 AM - 1 PM.
The sites include: Morris Twp Community Center, Graysville VFD, New Freeport VFD, and West Greene Senior High School Cafe Loading Dock.
