In preparation for the Solar Eclipse on Monday, Mr. Wilson got the third grade students together in order to model the event. The students had fun making models of the moon and Earth and demonstrated how the moon's shadow travels across the planet.

- Qrew Camp - Explore the Gas Industry with EQT
- PFEW (Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week) - Explore the world of business by running your own simulated company with students from all over PA
- Elmer Hafer American Legion State Police National Guard Youth Camp - Explore a career in law enforcement or the military
- Keystone Boys State - Explore politics through an in-depth simulation of state and local government
(*PFEW Registration for Greene County residents is only $100. See Mrs. Ullom for the referral code to apply the discounted registration. )

Mrs. Booze's students have been learning about the total solar eclipse that will cross over North America on Monday, April 8th. They created models to show what takes place during a solar eclipse. The models allow students to visualize the moon passing between the sun and the Earth. The students are looking forward to wearing their protective glasses and viewing the eclipse.

Last week, members participated in the State Legislative Leadership Conference (SLLC) in Harrisburg, PA. Students were able to learn about the legislative process while taking an active part in it. A huge thank you to Senator Camera Bartolotta for setting a Capitol tour and providing lunch and Representative Bud Cook for coming to breakfast with our students! These are such unique opportunities for our students.

Shout out to Sean Campion for winning this year's Chemistry Polyhedron Element Project. Our chemistry students were tasks with creating a themed polyhedron ball(20 sided structure) that represented one of the elements on the Periodic Table. Sean selected Mercury allowing her to create an Alice In Wonderland themed project. The character the "Mad Hatter" was based on the history of Mercury. You see, top hats use to be covered in Mercury to help support their shape. However, the people that wore these hats ended up going mad due to their direct contact with this poison on their heads. Unfortunately, trial and error has been a very common practice throughout history with most of our elements. Sometimes good characteristics about an element came to light, but most of the time negative side effects from exposure/ use of our elements were discovered this way. Very creative project, great work Sean!

Congratulations to the student who earned the VIP E-Sports Pass. These students were chosen by their teachers and given their passes to enter the E-Sports arena during the lunch period. This is part of the incentive program for the 7th and 8th grade students.
