On Tuesday, December 5, West Greene is going to host a "Jaxamillion Day" to support Jax Hunyady. Please wear a BLUE shirt, Jax's favorite color. We will have someone coming around getting pictures and will send them to Jax and post them on social media outlets. The elementary Scholastic book fair is next week - December 4th-December 8th! Students will shop during their regularly scheduled library class. There is a scheduled 12:35 early dismissal on Wednesday, November 22nd to start our Thanksgiving break. School will be closed Nov. 23-Nov. 28. School resumes on Wednesday, November 29th. Have a happy Thanksgiving and good luck to all of our hunters.

The 2024-2025 FAFSA is slated to be released by December 31, 2023. It is suggested to wait a week or so after the release date so as to avoid any technical issues due to high traffic volume. Additionally, please remember that you must have your FSA ID Accounts created at least 4 days prior to starting the FAFSA as they will need to go through the identity verification process prior to starting and completing the FAFSA.

There will be a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Completion Day on January 23, 2024. Jonathan Warner from PHEAA will be available at West Greene to help parents and students complete the new FAFSA. To schedule a one-hour session, please reach out to Laura Walters at 2218@gmail.com.

Each month, Student Government Association members join Student Government/Student Council members from other schools in the tri-county area. The group votes on a non-profit organization to be the recipient of our annual kickball tournament fundraiser. This year, we have chosen CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). The money raised will be evenly divided among the CASA organizations in Washington, Greene, and Fayette counties. Business sponsors will have their names printed on the tournament T-shirts and other signage.
