The Innovation Lab students hit the ground running this year, completing various projects around the school and fulfilling orders for Hargus Creek Designs. Most recently, the students designed, printed, and installed stickers for our new school vans.

Major progress is being made on the story stroll. Miss Danley, Miss Jacobs, and Miss Pinto installed the pages on the majority of the stands.
The story stroll was made possible by the IU1 Innovation Grant program, the West Greene Innovation Grant program, the EQT Foundation, the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation, and the Equitrans Midstream Foundation.

Mr. Snyder's class has been very busy installing the 18 stands for our story stroll! Thanks to their hard work and dedication, the story stroll will be opening next week!

This Fun Friday was a memorable day in Kindergarten! To start our Apple celebration, we had a guest reader, Johnny Appleseed, come to West Greene Kindergarten! The children enjoyed a story and made homemade applesauce. In the afternoon, we did centers in each Kindergarten classroom. Ms. Crouse had a tasting station, Ms. Shultz did apple print painting and Mrs. Hart taught us how to make an Apple Smile! Fun was had by all!

Happy 1st Day of School! We had ourselves one of the best First Days in quite some time. Our students were so polite and welcoming on their first day back. It was nice to see their smiling faces in the hallways again. We appreciate everyone's collaborative efforts from parents to teachers, cafe to custodial staff, and bus drivers to clerical for all of their efforts.
This year is already hitting differently than the previous ones...Let's make this year the best one yet! #PioneerProud

Roman Thomas completed all 12 weeks of his summer practice packets and brought them back on the first day of school! Way to go, Roman! He got to choose a book from the vending machine!

Please note the following requirements for drinks being carried and consumed throughout the school and in classrooms. This does not apply to drinks during lunch service in the cafeteria.

"We have Liftoff!"
Our summer program came to a close Friday, June 28 with a community picnic after two weeks of exploring Space! Students traveled to Carnegie Science Center this week, built their own models of our Solar System, built their own space shuttles from Legos, and shared what they had learned with their parents/guardians on our last day. We had a BLAST! Thank you all for joining us.
We hope everyone has an amazing summer and we can't wait for our next summer's adventures.
