Happy Mole Day!!!!
🧪🥼Our chemistry students had a blast today celebrating 6.02x10^23.
🧑🏼🔬During class students participated in an escape room, solving different levels of math and clues to allow them to escape the Mole's hideout.
🧬🔬👩🔬Our students creativity was also on display today!! Many mole themed items were brought to Mrs. Wilcox's room including: stuffed Moles, decorated cups, posters, piñata, tshirts, and even themed snacks.
🥼Every year chemists everywhere celebrate this day, but our WG crew really out did themselves!!

🎓✨ West Greene students are planning for the future - today!
On Tuesday, October 21, many students traveled to PennWest California to attend a College & Career Fair hosted by the Washington, Greene, Fayette County Counselors Association.
📍 Over 60 schools, training centers, military branches, and career organizations were in attendance - including colleges and universities from Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and beyond! Students had the chance to ask questions, gather materials, and explore paths for life after high school - whether that's college, a trade, military service, or the workforce.
📚✈️🛠️🎓
🙌 Special thanks to our West Greene School Counselor, Mrs. Roberta Barr, and her fellow School Counselors for organizing such a valuable experience. Your work gives our students the tools to dream bigger and take the next step with confidence!

Last week, Fourth Grade discussed the amazing attributes of spider silk. They imagined that a scientist discovered a way to replicate the silk in a laboratory. The scientist asked our students to create new inventions that could best use this material. Here's a look at their ideas:
(Red Light Car Stopper, Stuffed Dog, Unbreakable Glasses, Tape, Safety Firefighter Catcher, etc.)
